Introduction

Are you a Christian solo mom struggling to keep your head above water? You have no direction in life even though you keep asking and seeking. It could be that you never got your Father’s permission, so you lost his protection.

No, he hasn’t abandoned you, though it may certainly feel that way. Is it possible you abandoned Him? No matter how your separation from your Father’s protection happened, the guilt you feel prevents you from asking him for direction.

It’s okay — we’ve all been there. Everyone messes up at one time or another. Maybe we think it’s not our fault, and maybe it isn’t. Remember, though, that it’s not what happens to us that always determines the outcome, but how we react and handle what happens to us.

That’s why it’s important to continuously seek God’s permission, whether through prayer, reading his word, or both.

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, ~ 1 Peter 5:6
