I’m glad I don’t allow other people’s personal opinions to determine what I read. Years ago, my husband walked out on my family leaving me to raise a two and a four year old by myself. Your Best Life Now by Joel Osteen was one of the books that helped me through years of depression, loneliness, and hopelessness.
I couldn’t afford a therapist. That book, the Bible, and my journal were my therapist.
We’re all entitled to our own opinions but don’t let other people decide what you should read.
One man’s rubbish is definitely another man’s treasure in this example.
